Parking

We are excited to welcome you to the Blair Center for the Arts! However, we want to inform you in advance that parking in the downtown area is first come, first served. To ensure your visit goes smoothly, please take note of the following parking details:

Limited Parking Availability: Due to residents and other businesses that operate at the same time as our venue, available parking spaces in the downtown area may be limited and can fill up quickly. We highly recommend arriving early to secure a parking spot near the theater. The City of Belleville has designated 284 parking spots in the downtown area, 10 of which are designated as handicapped. Please refrain from parking directly in front of the theater or in the alley behind the theater, as those areas are fire lanes and should be left clear in the event of an emergency. You should feel free to use the area in front of the theater as a drop-off and pick-up area.

No Ride-Share Services: Please be aware that ride-share services (such as Uber and Lyft) do not traditionally operate in our area. While you may be able to get a ride from where you live to our area, you may not be able to get one back. It is advisable to arrange your transportation in advance.

Limited Public Transportation Options: Limited public transportation is available, but their schedule may not coincide with our event.  Consider checking the public transportation schedule in advance and allowing extra time for your journey.

No Parking Lots Available: No dedicated theater parking lots are available near the venue. Street parking is the primary parking option, and it may be scarce. If you choose to park in a parking lot near the theater, you do so at your own risk.

To make your experience more enjoyable, here are some additional tips:

  • Carpool: If you’re attending the event with friends or family, consider carpooling to reduce the number of vehicles in the area.
  • Park and Walk: Explore parking options slightly farther from the venue and be prepared for a short walk to the event site.
  • Use Alternative Transportation: If possible, consider biking or walking if you live nearby.
  • Plan Ahead: Have a backup plan in case parking is not immediately available.

We look forward to seeing you at the Blair!
